I see lot of people bitching about what their family does and doesn’t do during the holidays…… many of the complaints are valid and possibly things I have bitched about before

But y’all I’m telling you, life happens fast… please just be thankful your family is still here with you.

For a few different reasons, I’m spending this one alone, and it’s way more depressing than I thought it would be.

Relax, and try your best to enjoy it

Happy holidays

I tell my students to call their grandparents. I wish I could call mine.

Agree!

People biatxh too much and are so damn angry these days.

Respect and e joy one another. Even if they're different and even if they're Cowboy fans.

As a famous philosopher once said:. Can't we all get along!

I like to think that the bitching in the other thread, year after year, thanksgiving after thanksgiving, actually shows an honest commitment to and appreciation of family despite their faults.

We’re all cousin Eddie at some point.

I still have a few random voicemails from my wife's grandparents (who I was very close to) they always brighten my day when I listen to them.

It's been 13 years since I've had Thanksgiving dinner with family. It usually doesn't bother me, but has gotten to me this year. It's good advice, enjoy them while you can.

I have a sister battling cancer and having a rough time.
I have another sister with health issues, and a husband bound to a wheelchair, so I'm trying to help them whenver I can. They live about 45 minutes from me.
I have a niece going through health issues, and a nephew in law who just has brain surgery and is on a ventilator.

I see stuff like that, and other people who have health issue, especially those younger than me, and it makes my problems pretty small.

I'm slowly learning to be thankful for each day I can take care of myself. Happy Thanksgiving all

My mom died 5 years ago and my oldest son lives 9 hours away and had to work today. We had another Thanksgiving without them. Enjoy the time with family when you have it.

I wish I had known mine. I’ve always made sure my kids spent plenty time with the grands.

This is my first holiday without grandparents

Lost my last living grandma a month or so ago, we were pretty close. Our family functions were always at her house with my moms other 4 brothers, but for whatever reason, everyone had something going on this year
