Oops, I was my bad I got Val Kilmer and Dolph Lundgren combined into one. I am old and sometimes realize my memory isn't totally sharp especially on relatively meaningless trivial stuff.

Holy Crap I had not seen him lately.
I guess the cancer really did a number on him. I thought he always did a good job in whatever role he played in.

He had throat cancer and a tracheotomy.Yea the treatments and the illness,like a lot of people,aged him really fast it seems. He lost his voice as well. I know he plays some role in the new Top Gun which considering his condition may be kinda sad to see.

I have seen numerous compelling internet arguments about this over the years. Very interesting how the movie made us hate the responsible, rule following, best at what he did, team player and like and pity the exact opposite traits in Maverick...traits that ultimately cost Goose his life, despite what the review board may have concluded. Is it bc deep down we all want to be a maverick?
