I’ve asked a couple of them what kind of mental gymnastics they do to call themselves Catholics and yet vote for party that advocates for abortion.

What kind of mental gymnastics do you to call yourself a Catholic yet vote for the party of mass deportations and protecting pedophiles?

People aren't binary on every issue, nor should they be.

It's not a death penalty. But a kid without DS will grow up and be able to independently support themselves by age 18. A child with DS will grow up to be an adult with DS who will still need to be supported by their parents until one of their deaths.

It's a horrible decision I hope I am never faced with, but I can understand why some choose that path.

Whoa, there are MANY more things that can cause offspring to live at home, with need of constant support.

Something went wrong during the birth of the child
An accident, involving head trauma

So, it is your take, as long as we can "catch the inconvenience" early, it's ok?

Do you support terminating people with dementia? Because, they can be REALLY trying. Or how about someone in a wheelchair? Where do you draw your line?

Critics argue this is akin to eugenics. Advocates argue it is sympathetic and prevents a complicated life for the child and the parents.

They are both right.

of illegal intruders? Are you actually kidding? So, someone shows up to your home, in the middle of the night, and wishes to move in, and you just relent?

Worse, maybe they intend to cause you and your family harm, steal from you, maybe even kill you. Still all smiles and a welcoming committee. I seriously doubt that.

I never said it was ok, I just understand how some can choose to take that path. Of course there are several things that can contribute to an unideal lifestyle for child and parent, this is just something that can be tested/screened for.

You're speaking from an emotional place with these strawman arguments. Of course I don't "support terminating" anyone with a disability. Grow up.

I am grown.

I ask to understand how far you would go in accepting the murder of a human.

What is the difference between understanding, complacency, willful ignorance, compromise and support?

All very similar, but nuanced.

Christ threw the money lenders from the temple. He wasn't above getting rid of people who didn't belong. Try again.

We have a fundamental difference of opinion on abortion if you're calling it "the murder of a human." It's ok to have different opinions.

I, too, have a child with Down syndrome, and I can’t imagine a world without my daughter in it. There is love that my older kids give me, and then there is her love. It is something only described as truly pure. My God have mercy on the souls of the people aborting these angels on Earth.

The world would be a better place with more strong, loving parents like yourself

And for all their desire to craft a “perfect” society - the western euro-phags are still gonna cry for us to save them from Russia.

“What kind of mental gymnastics do you to call yourself a Catholic yet vote for the party of mass deportations and protecting pedophiles ?”

I quit the Catholic religion many years ago.I have a big problem with the protection of pedophiles, one reason among several that caused me to abandon the Catholic church.
As far as the mass deportations I feel like we have no obligation to allow criminals, rapists and murderers,Muslims to come in and stay here.
I do feel bad for many of them that come here that truly just want a better life, work and contribute to society..I have no problem with work visas ,green cards for those that contribute and a path to citizenship.
The difficulty with what we’re facing now is so many came in under the Biden administration there is no way to vet them and determine which are criminals and which are not. Therefore we’re in a situation where if they’re undocumented they have to go back.
Our first obligation is to our own citizens.

Seems pretty easy to me. If they commit a crime and are arrested/convicted, they're a criminal

Icelandic people are VERY "progressive" although they don't go overboard in trying to shove it down everyone else's throat.

But, could you just IMAGINE if Thor Bjornson, the Mountain, whatever you may know him by, had Downs?! Talk about SMASHING weightlifting world records...

Holy shite...a progressive suggesting conservatives are the threat to children. I've seen it all

For anyone who cares, our friend here is using an approach called "bad appling". Essentially you point out something some people did and then generalize that across the entirety of that group.

So...some in the Catholic Church protected child abusers, therefore all Catholics are in favor of protecting child abusers. Never mind the fact that that is patently false and 99.99% of Catholics (and hell, thrown in conservatives) are repulsed by those stories and want any offenders punished to the full extent of the law, and then some.

We can contrast that with the progressive/dem party who actually advocates for public policy that makes it as easy as possible to kill your child, have sex with underaged children, and mutilate their bodies before they even know what sex is. Yeah, you've definitely picked the party that protects children.

ETA: I'm not even sure why anyone who supports mass deportations of illegals is in the wrong, Catholic or not.

What made her number of marriages relevant to anyone but retarded gossipy women?

You must be one.
