I'm in Punta Gorda and we got the worst winds. We've been able to drive out to go check on family and our business. We've seen a lot shingles, some siding gone but out of all the homes, less than 10 have severe roof damage (holes, collapse, etc.)
I was just telling my wife this morning how great the build quality around here is.

One of those houses is my fraternity brothers.
Devastated his family. They moved to Jax after that.

Its this white fluffy stuff (not to be confused with cocaine, since youre Floridan and all) that falls from the sky from late September until the end of May. Often quite cold.

How are the rooves installed down there? I would pay extra out of my pocket to have that kinda protection. I'm really curious.

Crazy about the Myakka River flooding and apparent levee break- apparently the death toll will be rising.

Just got emergency services text that it's apparently subsided and they've re-opened I-75 exits 179 to 193 from threat of flooding.
Hearing that we still need to be on alert for more possible flooding.

Could you text someone the raw data from the plane?
Asking for myself.

Hey geauxlsu, I’m glad you’re safe. Do you know if PGI took on water?

Of the 7 people I know with houses in Fort Myers, 4 already have power back.
Amazing, frankly.

Appreciate it but I didnt legitimately think the answer was yes.
The public can get the data with a ten minute delay, which also has flags on it for suspect readings (SFMR most of the time gets flagged).
