Thank you, kind sir. Power was just restored here. We don't know a whole lot about what happened only miles away. We saw a few pictures of Fort Myers Beach and it looked bad. Our local bar on the beach where we played pool is completely gone.

Thank you for the offer of help. Please let me know if we can help those residents and businesses that lost everything.

There was a local Miami story about some guy that took off for the Bahama's (Bimini) on his jet ski.

I think it was 3 days a day ago no one has heard from him. Sad.

He was last seen last Friday according to your link, so his attempt to jet ski to the bahamas was before all the tropical stuff.

This was expected.

Ian was starting to go extratropcial last night but had enough convection to keep the warm core and storms around the center.

As soon as it lost the water, the transition really picked up pace.
