This shite is heartbreaking. Even more so because a lot of us have been through this, sometimes more than once. I hate seeing these pics and footage.

Aside from the people that were impacted, this type of event overwhelms animal shelters too. Lost pets, strays, and even random wildlife with nowhere to go.

Hurricanes really do frick stuff up for pretty much every living thing in that area.

Any word on how Longboat made out? I have family who is going to go check on the property but not until tomorrow. We just closed on it last month so I don't know a single person around us.

Maybe, but there is a lot of money in south Florida. If the infrastructure is in place, the people (probably new residents) will rebuild quickly, but it will never be the same.

It is. I’ve been lucky to go through a lot of storms here in SC and not lose anything but I’ve seen the destruction first hand and the heart break that comes with it. I hate for anyone to go through this.

Did I miss Puerto Rico getting hit? Biden said we gonna look out for them in his FEMA speech. Or he thinks Cuba is Puerto Rico?

Thanks for a drone video of a deserted stretch of beach and a washed out road.

The overall housing structures seem to have held up remarkably well. They obviously know what they are doing now with regard to the hurricane building codes over there.
