This thing is supposed to hit SC as a hurricane now? WTF
Anyone who thought this wasn't going to strengthen back into a hurricane once going over water again hasn't had to deal with hurricanes their entire life. I've seen this scenario play out several times.

Always blows my mind to see house reduced to a pile of rubble like that. What an incredible force of nature.

Hell, I had to fight one out of my shower this morning......in North AL.
All you can do is be mindful and careful these days.
Can you imagine swimming out to your driveway to check the mail, and then see this.

Didn't we( SC) got hit twice by the same storm a few years ago?
Posted on 9/29/22 at 12:01 pm to Funky Tide 8
Ft Myers definitely took the brunt of this storm, from the videos so far anyway.

Now we need video of these sharks meeting the gators in the area
My friend sent me this last night from Bonita Springs Beach.
Hopefully it hasn't wondered off too far from the beach today.

This is Naples son. Ain’t no Escalades. You pack up the Bentley, or Lamborghini SUV and get out of town. The amount of money in Naples is extraordinary. We have a Ferrari dealership next to the Walmart.
No joke. I thought Sarasota was full of money and then I arrived in Naples. Valet said he was embarrassed to park the rental for me.

While I’ve done where myself I’m nowhere near that level. There’s a lot of generational wealth in Naples. Vanderbilt kind of money.
Naples is so ridiculously wealthy it’s boring

A corporate manager is at my office today, and he is planning on taking his son to the NC State Clemson game, leaving from ATL on Friday afternoon(he's an NC State grad.) I'm assuming that he probably should reconsider...

Just heart-breaking for all affected.

How are y'all holding up? I've got friends down that way close to Wolf lake. I haven't heard anything from them yet.
There are lots of people without power and cell service (we have internet but I cell service).

A good thread showing the response from the USAF so far.

I really wonder if they move that game or what. Any updates from Clemson yet?

Where is that in Venice?
Have you heard from your renters?
Posted on 9/29/22 at 12:06 pm to SippyCup
Not sure where these was taken. I assume Fort Myers or nearby.

Posted on 9/29/22 at 12:07 pm to SippyCup
Nope. We have three properties that are rented in Venice/north port and we havent heard a word. Other three properties are empty at the moment but still worried about flooding/roof/fallen trees. Pretty crazy stuff
