Then who the heck am I thinking of?

It was an FSU fan now that I think of it. Loved near me and was going to go fishing with him but it never materialized.

Just ignore more

I was like wtf? Boat never mentioned living in St. Pete. Going to suck going down to St.Pete/Clearwater area if this hurricane does really wreck it. Very Beautiful and awesome vibe gone just like that

Florida State canceling 4 days of classes is one of the more ridiculous things I've seen in a while. They may not even know there's a hurricane in Tallahassee.

I have my generator prepped already. Obviously this isn’t directly related to the hurricane but the power flickered earlier today near Dunnellon. The gas stations and grocery stores near us are apocalyptically empty. Stay dry, folks and God speed.

Let's be honest the best part about growing up in louisana and not being affected really much by the hurricane was:

The following schools from the these parishes will be closed starting monday flashing at the bottom of the tv screen

It can't fit indoors.

The boat itself could, barely, but the trailer makes it impossible.

It's a 20 ft flatsboat, so the profile is really low, plus it's a pretty heavy one as well. So, if the wind is bad enough to flip that thing, then we're probably fricked anyway.

Honestly the damage done by these hurricanes runs into the billions I wouldn’t have problem trying a one time test to see if something like the nitrogen thing would work aka like a liquid nitrogen bomb right into the eye at full strength.

They tried with silver iodide in the 60's.

While you still have water service before losing power, remove the batteries install the plug and fill it with water for weight. Have done it many times here in SE LA, it's part of my prep.

Good luck !

I thought about that, but am kind of worried about the axles bearing too much weight, especially when the rain starts pouring.

They are torsion axles, so stronger than normal leaf springs. You think that would still be ok to do?

I'd be looking to do anything to keep that boat and trailer in place. I'm sure the axles will hold the weight, especially considering it'll be stationary and not bounding on the road.

I doubt you have any laying around, but I keep lead in my boat which is a easy way to add a lot of weight quickly.

I've got 4 scuba tanks in there right now and two ice chests full of water.

I am going to fill the hull up w/ water tomorrow as well. Thanks for the advice.
