Levi had an issue with having two planes in the storm at once. Dickered with how their findings were being reported.

Don’t forget to strap down your house before you leave

Or you could just stay another couple days and be the only one driving North on the way home.

Does anyone have an idea how many people are told to get out? Florida population has grown so much and I’m wondering if any outlets have estimated this. Is it 6 figures or 7? And are most going to east side of FL or are they mostly going north to panhandle then west?

I wonder if those flying have ever been in a storm that was in the process of clearing out an eye.

Seeing way too much of this. If you are in the area and making decisions, listen to the people who know:

#TampaBay friends, a piece of advice:
Ian is not Irma! Don’t compare your experience in 2017 to what will happen this week in your safety actions. With Irma, weak side of storm moved over Tampa…offshore winds & little surge. Reverse that entire statement for Ian. #HurricaneIan

This! I’ve run into this already. This is not Irma and your experiences in Irma are gonna be complexity different than this go around. Also you might have survived the wind in Irma but you have not experienced the water…rain and surge.

Looks like rapid intensification continues. Probably going to see a major hurricane by the 10pm advisory.

Communist Cuban radar view of Ian:

Of course the hurricane looks like it has tail fins......it is near Cuba. It is a 1950s model hurricane.

Can Tampa really expect 10 feet?
One news source states
quote:
“The National Hurricane Center is predicting storm surge in Tampa Bay and surrounding waters of between 5 and 10 feet (1.5 and 3 meters) above normal tide conditions and rainfall of between 10 and 15 inches (12 and 25 centimeters) because of Hurricane Ian.””

I’m at Disney. Originally was going to stay until Wednesday. Considering leaving tomorrow due to possible evacuation traffic. What would y’all do?
Stick around and enjoy no lines at any of the parks come Friday. Wife and I just made reservations
