Just split the difference between the models right now. They'll eventually start agreeing. I think Big Bend area is a safe bet purely guessing of course. Obviously it can be anywhere in the NHC has in the cone that will definitely move east or west every advisory depending on the models. Anyone in the crosshair zone should get prepared now.

I've traveled the world over, and have lived in a lot of it. Where ever you choose to live there seems to be some sort of weather/environmental problem unique to that area.

Hurricanes, typhoons, earthquakes, floods, droughts or whatever, wherever you go, you can find a problem, if you look for it.

I moved out of a hurricane zone.

Now i just have to worry about a fire starting in my county and burning the whole thing down every summer.

Everywhere has some natural disaster risk.

And frankly, of that list, while hurricanes are destructive, they aren't sneaky. Tornadoes and earthquakes freak me out more than hurricanes, because there tends to be so little warning.

I get what he's saying though. Probably the most destructive natural disaster is hurricanes. You're right, everywhere has them but you can minimize the impacts based on the region you go to.
