As of 6:30 this morning WB at the Toomey starks exit was still closed

I-10 is shut down in both directions over the San Jacinto River due to some loose barges colliding with the bridge.

I just saw that picture of of the bridge. There’s definitely structural damage over the San Jacinto. It will take days to fully assess the damage, and I fear months of repair work.

Friends went to hobby last night. Took 8 hrs, when it normally takes 2. They had to go through Woodville, Jasper, Livingston and then south into Houston
