My point being that he can wear clothes that fit. A number of major manufacturers offer a 35" W, in a variety of cuts.

Just gotta do a little web shopping.

im 30, 6'3 and 190lbs. XL look dumb on me but L are too short in length and sleeves. i wouldn't mind a L 1/2 size.

34/35 x 36 would be an ideal pants size for me

Land's End sells long polos in L sizes. We get them for our employees.
