We like to pay for studies about traffic rather than building actual roads. It's much easier.

Learn the back roads.

That is my biggest problem with br. There arent any shortcuts or neighborhoods that you can easily cut through (that everyone doesnt already know, so traffic still sucks)

Why shreveport is sooo much better. 20 minutes or less anywhere in the city.

And lol at a nola person making fun of traffic.

Because no one wants to live there.

And BR back roads are easy to find, if you're not a ruhtard.

It has an odd smell when getting off the airplane. The smell improves as you near the "new" bridge, smelling the coffee plant across the river.

Just accept that any trip you take will be an additional 30 -45 min longer due to traffic. You can make some music playlists, listen to an episode of hardcore history, or just scream expletives the whole time.

Traffic in nola is bad too.

Baton Rouge traffic is a nightmare but Nola isn't like an open road by any means.

I'm from BR, and when we moved to the NS a few years ago, I was shocked at how unfriendly people are here and on the SS. BR definitely has nicer people.

Lived some years uptown

But I reside in the garden district except for my stint near the end of st Charles

I and my other long term born and bred garden district friend agree New Orleans is just not an attractive city. Face it.

Too many snowballs and cheese fries and lack of gyms in the city center.

Traffic is actually a lot worse when school starts back too. It's noticeably lighter in June and July

I'd take the bad traffic any day over living on Shreveport.

I work in outside sales. Go into the office from 7:30 - 10:00. Head out and see customers until 3:00.
After 3;00, you have to shut it down -
unless you want to spend those last few hours of the day just sitting in traffic.
