I live in mid city, work and spend most of my time in between mid city, downtown, and LSU. Traffic's not much of a problem for me.

It took me 20 minutes to go from 2 blocks north side of I-10 on Essen lane to 2 blocks to the south side of I-10 on Essen lane.... essentially 15 minutes to go 4 blocks.
I make that drive at 5am... takes me 5 minutes....
I make that drive at 5pm..... takes me 20......

You need to avoid Essen like the plague. One of the top 2 or 3 most congested roads in the city
