My local Dollar Generals always have an inventory of Colgate Sparkling White on the $1 aisle. That’s all I’ve used for years.

I use baking soda and peroxide toothpaste. I love it. I hate the colorful, overly minty and foaming stuff.

I only ever use Smartway toothpaste. It’s the Kroger generic brand and I love it. It makes my mouth happy.

That’s a new one on me. If you’re referring to black people as the hood, my observations are that, in general, they have far better teeth than white people.

Do tooth brushes while you're at it.

Stannous Fluoride, which is a nerve deadener

No, no it isn't. Stannous vs sodium fluoride is basically a wash, how they function in the human body is pretty much identical except stannous fluoride can cause some staining (which is why my dentist fiancee calls it "stainous fluoride") and sodium fluoride is cheaper. I use a toothpaste that has both types of fluoride in it, there is limited evidence that using them in combination is more effective than one or the other. My fiancee recommends Crest Pro-Health and using a very soft brush like Curaprox, gum recession is probably the issue with tooth sensitivity in most people because the brush their teeth like they are mad at them...

It's a crock of shite. Every product that says this uses ingredients tested on animals. What they really mean is that they didn't do it personally, they're using someone else's research.
