the shoot between the plates claim was made by his cousin, who was probably just trying to hype him up. there are no plate carriers for fat people, so he may have just gotten lucky and slipped one through during the exchange. depending on what plate the perp used, it probably wouldnt have even mattered. a hit is still incapacitating and possibly fatal.

the guy's cover was a vehicle. most centerfire rifle cartridges will cut through vehicles, save for the engine block. if they were shooting at each other (and they were), the last thing on Willeford's mind was "he's got plates, I need to slip one through."

1. That is not the interview I was talking about. I was talking about the interview with the shooter.

2. That's interesting how in your zeal to be right, you overlooked what Panic the guy with no cover might have been thinking. You somehow get in his mind like he should be able to fire through a truck except for the engine block. And yet the guy with cover you project that he couldn't have been thinking clearly. The guy was an NRA instructor, he was pretty comfortable with rifles. But let's forget all that. You're right and I hope you feel better.
