I think legalizing weed would go a long way in keeping black men out of jail and stop this cycle of incarceration.

I think BLM would see this as a win but ultimately it won’t make a bit of difference

One of my best friends from college is a black dude that had a pretty affluent upbringing.

He’s an attorney. He said he’s had co-workers apologizing to him non-stop and has no idea how to react every time it happens

It's a bad idea to talk about race at work. And I'd really avoid it right now.

I’m not racist, neither is my company but we can’t keep black people. This guy the other day got fired because he failed his piss test on day three of working there.

If one of them makes a complaint to HR you will be scratching you unemployed butt. With the bonus of having a permanent flag put on your personal profile forever. Same thing with talking to women or gays. Don't do it. Don't do it . Don't do it. If you are a white straight person you have zero protections.

Yeah you’re fired. You talked to them at the same time? About race? They are getting their story straight right now.

Their conversation about you afterwards went much different. So did their conversation with HR.

Didn't you get sacked from a job once for a DUI?

Conversation happened at my home. Was laid off back in March due to COVID. This is at a temp job while I find another long-term stint.

spoke up and said that police brutality isn't the biggest issue and that the removal of a strong father figure is. The over incarceration of black men has destroyed those communities/families and I think that is where you would see a reduction in black on black crime and an overall improvement for the black community.

See the correlation

Yeah. I have no shame about that. In my defense though there was a two year gap between my dui and being let go.

Oddly enough they tried to hire me back. frick that noise.

My one black friend says you’re full of shite. I’ve got one as a token to respond to texts like this. He’s on a short leash because he thumbed up a burning of a city.

Sorry to tell you but you can't trust what they are telling you. It's just like asking people in the work place if they voted for Trump or will vote for Trump: no one wants to discuss too much openly. It's kryptonite.

Kudos. I think the main idea is for people of different backgrounds to discuss issues and hear other point of views and for each side to be open to discussion.

More shite would get done in this country if open conversations were held more often.
