They call it dope because of Coca Cola over 100 years ago. My old man used to talk about getting a dope when he was younger and it meant getting Coke because it had cocaine in it early on.

Dope

Old people definition: Marijuana
Southern definition: Meth
Northern definition: Heroin

Look, if you smoke weed all day everyday you prob not getting shite done.

But if you smoke a joint in the evening every night. Then you aren’t worse off than the dudes that drink every night after work.

Nah, it’s harder to kick opioids and alcohol because of the physical pain. That too wears on you psychologically. You get a double whammy.

Its incredible in this day and age that anyone could possibly think marijuana psychological addiction is even in the same stratosphere as alcohol, benzo, or opioid addictions. They are literally not comparable.

For real.

Like if person is smoking an entire blunt right when they wake up every day that's a problem. I'd go so far as to say they probably have an addictive personality and would be on something else if they couldn't get weed.

Smoking a blunt every morning would be like waking up, shotgunning a beer, and chasing it w/a tequila shot. That's a lot of weed and anyone saying they need that much in one session to manage anxiety has issues that need to be looked at by a doctor.

But smoking a bowl or a joint (depending on how big) each night after work? Yeah that isn't much different than having a glass of or two of wine* or a couple beers at dinner.

Also, to be fair, getting off pot is a frickton easier than booze or pills. That's not even arguable. Your body is not going to suffer from withdrawal anywhere near as bad as w/the other stuff.

* actual glass properly poured, not those jumbo glasses that wine moms fill to the brim

I'm a 20 year smoker. Currently on a 30 day break due to being in the Philippines. It'll be legal here in the next 2 years. I'll be back California for October. Should be more stoned than a Muslim adulter after the 1st blunt.

I have found pot to give me the same "relaxing" feel after dinner that a scotch does but I have no hangover. I have a hard time shutting off my brain from work and life at night so it helps me get to sleep.

I don't smoke it, I either eat an edible or use vape pen without additives. If someone ever tries to tell me that's worse for me than alcohol, I just laugh. I'm so much healthier doing that instead of drinking.

Munchies from Alcohol are just as powerful as weed munchies. I eat more unhealthy junk when I’m drinking as well. I’m more health-aware when the gummy munches hit and kill some frozen grapes.

Worse for me.

I get actually hungry when I drink. I'll clear my fridge or pantry out. When I'm stoned, I just want flavor so I just eat Habanero BBQ almonds

Yup… leftover food in the fridge has no chance after drinking. I also know that I have to eat a pretty large meal too or else the hangover will be more brutal.

Yeah alcohol has no effect one way or the other on my appetite. If I get high I do unreasonable shite like eat an entire box of fruit loops. The internal mechanism that lets me know I’ve eaten a normal amount and it’s time to stop just goes away.
