Google it. There is such a thing as bicycle liability insurance.

Homeowners (or renters) insurance will usually cover personal liability. I have a specific bicycle rider (insurance term not cycling term) that outlines the liability coverage but it is there mainly to cover our bikes, bikes have gotten ridiculously expensive. It is easy to spend $15k on a road bike these days, although that is a bike beyond almost every rider's ability. They are often referred to as dentists' bikes.

I’d say keep moving the goalposts but I think you’re out of space

When I lived in the city in my 20s, it made sense to bike a mile. Nobody living out here is commuting on a bike.
when I was at the peak of my training for races I would commute to work 25 miles each way including 3 and 9 mile hill in Warner Park and the Tyne road double tap. I could easily make it to the office by 8 if I left by 615 or so and we had showers there so no worries. It was gross putting on the same cycling clothes for the commute home but you gotta do what you gotta do.

About the most dangerous thing I ever did; riding all the way into the heart of downtown Nashville all the way from Franklin but I was fit af for it and somehow didn't die.

Too much to lose now and it's much better to participate in club rides on back roads on weekends now

Closest thing to heaven on Earth.

long distance road or tri bike training?

Should everyone be allowed to use public roads for training? Maybe me and my friends can have a flag football game in the road.

Any cyclist using public roads for recreation by hiding behind laws that were designated for commuting is an a-hole

ETA: So what's with all the down votes? Do all you fat fricks just hate cycling that much?

You're in the OT bragging about riding your $2000 E-bike around your gated golf course community. How many thumbs up did you think you were gonna get? smh

Wasn't really a brag, just stating facts, it's a cool contraption. First bike I've bought since the '90s. And I didn't pay that much for it, got it on sale. People spend money on whatever they like, I just happened to like this bike. Maybe others might, too. God forbid someone get some exercise. It's not as if I was making someone late for work or anything. Why did you come out of hiding to bitch about it, fatty?

We're laughing at you because you're bragging about riding a moped.

Seriously, though, E-bikes seem like a pretty near completely positive development.

someone asked this same question years ago in a facebook group. I said something like " well just run over em all that'll teach em". I threw in some other joke trying to be sarcastic. Then a rider pipes up with his feelings all hurt saying he was gonna report me to facebook. I figured anyone reading knew I was being sarcastic. It was obvious by his profile he was gay. I got banned 30 days.

Like I've said, it's a pretty cool contraption. I'm too old and fat to be pedaling my arse up and down the hills around here without some help. A little throttle gets me up the inclines. I can easily keep up with the 25 mph speed limit here and not be a nuisance to vehicle traffic. So far my land speed record is 41mph. I've been riding about 20 miles a day since I bought it.

You are right! I admit it!

I drive a Subaru, put on my onesie and meet up with bros to smash some miles before pounding arse.
It's a fab way to get the weekend going before aTm plays.

But seriously, groups of more than 6 bikers should not be allowed on roads.

People with smooth brains shouldn’t allowed on the road. Count your blessings
