And if he's not national yet he will be soon. He's huge in the south right now but I wouldn't say he's huge amongst middle age people. If you're not under the age of 25 I doubt you would know who he is. But literally ever person I know that's my age (22) listens to his music.

Btw the dude has a masters in psychology

Lol never, I'm just unfortunate to have had to deal with him and his group and they're an enormous pain in the arse that isn't worth the hassle.

What he do, presuming this experience is related to his playing a venue?

I'm not much into new rap these days but I find it hard to believe you own a TV or live in LA and have no idea who lil Wayne is. Even if you have never heard one of his songs he has been all over the place

Gotta love the digital age and playlists. When driving, my 'mix tape' will go from Celine Dion to Kool Moe Dee to George Strait.

Because he's only been popular for 2-3 years now and most of his music doesn't play on the radio.

Most people know of him from listening to his songs on the Internet or watching his interviews on YouTube.

Gates is absolutely a national artist. Hell he just went on an European tour. He's much bigger than just a Baton Rouge rapper

May be because rap is one of the genres that older folks don't hate on newer artists as much as rock and country.

Some people like rap, some people like screamo, some people like anal, and some people clean toilets for a living, yet dont like anal.

Let people do what they do

He lives down Swamp Road in Prairieville fwiw. I listen to him when im in the mood, his voice is unique which is the same thing that made Boosie famous. He has some good songs, some really shitty.

he isn't that big in the south bud.. his masters isn't even legit its from some BS online degree factory.. calm down son, he isn't that big of a deal but with better management and someone to keep his idiot friends away he might have a chance to be a successful national act..his european tour was meh, but they have big market in europe for anything American HipHop J Cole and Kendrick are the gold standard. when your boy can show up on time and perform for more than 28 minutes and screw people out of hundreds of dollars by not going through with his meet and greet's that for some reason people are willing to pay extra for. then he can become a bigger name, and move on.
