I received a traffic camera ticket today

Showed pictures of a vehicle that I don't even own. The license plate had a tinted cover. couldn't even read it plainly. Needless to say, we called that Police department and they dug deeper into it. 15 min later, they called and said they read a number wrong. Can't they just look up my name and see what kinda vehicles I own? Or just see if the license plate # comes back to the vehicle in the picture?

Enough people blindly pay them that the office handling it probably doesn’t care to double check.

They told me to disregard it. The pictures were from June 3rd. Took 2 months just to make a mistake LOL

Bingo. They probably sent that same letter to $1000 people. If just a few pay it’s all worth it.

They showed the pictures of the vehicle right on the paper. Why would someone pay a ticket that their vehicle is not in the picture? I wouldn't send $100 to anybody.

I have 4 or 5 traffic camera tickets sent in the mail over the years. Do not send them money. It’s a fraud. It’s illegal and they are about to come down anyway.

Congrats on the bench warrant. They’ll tell you not to worry about it after you spend a night in jail for another of their mistakes.
