I now get why pit bulls are despised

I honestly never thought too much about the pit bull hate on this site. The ones I knew and had met were fine.
But about an hour ago my gf (no pics) was walking our dog by her apartment and one had gotten out of a person’s yard and attacked my gf and dog.
Dog shite itself in fear, had a lot of hair torn off. Gf got tackled to the ground. Shockingly only has a few cuts and scrapes.
Another couple was there petting our dog when it happened so they helped in the situation by beating the shite out of the thing until the owners finally came outside got their dog and ‘apologized’ for him being out.
frick this breed and the scum that own them.

I hope you called the police and filed a report. You should definitely sue them and have the beast put down.

if a dog attacked your girlfriend, you need to call animal control. they will collect the animal to test for rabies....problem solved.

I can't be convinced that pits are a sweet misunderstood breed. Just way too many stories like this and worse .

Apology can't be accepted there. You need to file a police report. I highly doubt the owners will discipline that dog.

We have the owners information. I feel like suing them wouldn’t even be worth it, partly because I hate our sue happy population. But the dog certainly needs to be put down.

Yep. One guy in my neighborhood literally had 5-6 incidents with a Rottweiler mix before I made the first call. Haven’t seen it since the second complaint was filed.
