How bout you just drive the frick to work and worry about what is in your own front yard? If you’re proud to be from Louisiana fly the state flag, if you’re proud to be a Florida alumni fly a gators flag, if you are originally from Texas fly that state flag. Who the hell really cares? Is it hurting you? Why is the world so caught up in people being “offended”? If you are gonna let seeing a flag bother you enough to come here and post about it....ya got to much time on your hands baw. I do not fly the rebel flag....my father did, he had three flags in his front yard, the American flag flying the highest, the U.S. naval flag flying second highest and then finally the confederate below them all. It was his right just like it is yours to fly whatever the hell you want in your front yard. Like it or not since you moved out here you are part of the “LP trash” that everyone likes to profile us as. Stop whining, drive to work, drive home, love your family, pay your taxes and live and let live......world would be a better place if more people would just follow that

There are plenty of people that get offended by seeing the American flag too. Look if the home owner wants to fly any flag that’s not vulgar then it’s his/her right too. It’s free speech. If that flag no matter what it is seems to be “offensive” to you, then don’t look at it and you won’t be offended. It’s as simple as that.
Many of you younger folks would had never survived frowning up in the late 70’s and 80’s due to being offended all the fricking time. Nobody back then was offended over the stupid shite that you’re with today because we had better things to do besides being offended over stupid shite of today.

You, like the OP, are also making many incorrect assumptions. Yes, there's a reason that for many years, black people would drive around LP instead of through it. That's not the case anymore. As another poster stated, they really made a resurgence a few years ago when Democrat politicians started tearing down confederate statues and trying to erase history. The stars and bars is on the same level as a Don't Tread on Me flag or Molon Labe flags and stickers you see all over. It's about rebelling against government overreach and keeping everyone's freedoms where it belongs, in their own hands.
Damn, I really need to look at the OT at night sometimes instead of just at work. I really missed a good thread to jump into.
