And I feel awful. They were hopping right in front of my car on a two-lane road near Cheneyville. There was no shoulder or place to turn around for a mile. Must have taken out 25+ of them. WWtOTD?

Dude it legitimately looked biblical. Nonstop hopping across both lanes on a pitch black 2-lane.

Flooded out of their home only to get crushed by 2 tons of steel and rubber judgement during their exodus. I would say that you were there for a reason and did what you were destined to do.

Dude, I feel you on that shite. I ran over a big turtle one time and I still feel fricking bad about it. I was like 5 mins from the beach in FL and the problem was following the car ahead of me too close (speed limit was like 15 mph, so very easy to do) and didn't see the turtle until I ran the frick over it. shite was everywhere.

Man I just helped a turtle cross a few weeks ago.

I was so stunned by the frog thing I just kept going and didn’t feel the guilt till I got home.

I remember running over a snake one time and seeing it wallow in the road in pain had me feeling bad too. You know how when you driving on shitty roads, and they have those thin black lines all along the road or on parts of it? Like maybe it was cracked and they filled it in. Well apparently the snake was on the road to warm up and was laying out like that and I had no clue it was a snake until I felt a bump and saw it in the mirror. I love snakes and spiders so I felt very bad about this too.

This kinda reminds me of the woman talking about putting up deer crossing signs on busy highways. Maybe if we put up more animal crossing signs, then these animals will know where to cross at and thusly avoid unwanted killings.

Coming through the back roads around Chacahoula one afternoon I barely caught a turtle (like a tiddlywink). When I saw it my side view mirror afterwards it had around thirty feet of elevation and was around seventy five feet out spinning like fricking Gamera into the marsh. Really hope the little guy enjoyed the flight before Cypress impact.

My pool cleaner sucked up a frog and I threw it out on the ground. First critter that got a suck job from my pool cleaner. Note to self: don't just throw critters on the ground next to the pool because they start to really stink in the 90 degree sun.

I had a pretty good sized frog somehow get under the basket in the pool skimmer. I was cleaning out the basket at the pump, and I saw him getting tossed around in there. When I dumped the basket out on the ground he was actually still alive and hopped off. I can't believe he survived that, he must have just come through the pipes and into the basket when I found him
