As are most doctors don’t kid yourself.

In my field, I deal with plenty doctors and while I'll say most aren't "dumb as frick" I will say they should not be on the pedestal most people place them on.

In their area of specialty, medicine, they are wrong....a lot.

When you get outside of medicine and into areas such as business or politics, many are "ignorant as frick".

So you believe the CDC when they say the virus has somewhere between 20 and 75% asymptomatic cases, but not when they say the vaccine is safe?
I never said the vaccine was unsafe. I said there are unknown risks to a vaccine developed in 10 months and that everyone should do their own personal risk analysis. The CDC also does not say that the vaccine is 100% safe for every individual.

Can't believe this was asked as a serious question, like you really don't know the answer to that.

This is honestly a more than fair reason.

But let's just assume some extreme hypotheticals. If everyone like you who is younger, healthy, no comorbidities felt this way and didn't get the vaccine, then the only people who did get the vaccine would be the old and/or compromised, right?

Since the vaccine isn't 100% safe, meaning you can still get COVID, then we will still see cases and deaths. We'll see less obviously but with millions upon millions not getting the vaccine for this reason, I'd think it's safe assumption that we'll remain locked down with major restrictions for quite some time.

I basically feel teh same way as you but if getting the vaccine gets us closer to opening it all up quicker, then I'm all for it because the only other alternative is really just a revolution and fight against the government or some shite.

Based on the way the stats and data has been manipulated to justify narratives and government overreach I do not correlate the vaccine utilization with Govt loosening their grip. Everything they have said we need to do or have happen is happening and yet they are tightening their grip.

So I choose to live my life as best I can and not create unintended consequences for myself by receiving a vaccine for a virus I am not concerned with.

My 21yr/o son had it while living at home and none of the rest of us got it. He ran a mild fever for three days and he didn’t even know he had it until he lost his sense of smell and taste AFTER the virus had gone.

I am not anti-vaccine, I get the flu vaccine whenever it is free to me. I got it in September

But I am in the wait and see column on this vaccine

this has to be considered when deciding to take the vaccine or not.

You don't think Pfizer and Moderna thought about that when developing the vaccines, and you don't think the FDA thought about that when reviewing the data and deciding whether or not to approve? You people truly are something else.

So that's what it is, you ignore all the explanations for the timing of the development and what lead to it, the efficacy and side effect data, FDA review and approval, the guidance of doctors everywhere, and are just going with "it should take longer". Please do not get offended when people refer to you as an idiot in this thread. You've earned the classification.

Has Dr. Biden chimed in on this?

I'd really like her opinion before I decide.

You're a very simple minded person aren't you?

There are so many factors that go with the "timing" of these studies and trials

Unless you’re 400 lbs or 95 years old, that’s likely not what’ll happen if you get it.

And I'm aware of all of them. You may have missed it, but I've worked in the industry for over 20 years. So just accept that I'm smarter and more informed on this than you.

And carry a very biased opinion. There's a reason why there are experts out there that disagree on this subject

I respect your opinion on it, just don't try to push it on other people.

The beauty of it is we aren't being forced to take it so I'll give it more time

So for once, private industry and government actually work together in an efficient and collaborative way and achieve something fantastic and people are just “it should take longer”.

I had no idea how much people loved government inefficiency.
