Canes is meh as can be. Didnt really like it when I was in Baton Rouge 20 years ago and have never had urge to have it again. Any chicken with the slightest bit of flavor blows it out of the water. The fries are bland (if they’re the same ones) amd the toast sucks compared to a good biscuit.

Dont get me started on Bojangles. Chicken is unbelievably overrated. But to their breakfast is legit.
Canes can be complete crap if you dont eat it right away. When those fries go soggy just throw that shite away.
Id still rank them above Zaxbys

I've never had Bojangles but Canes is bland and tasteless. One of the most overrated franchises I've ever seen.

Bojangles chicken tastes like they use amateur batter and dump cayenne pepper in it. They used to have cajun bowls that were good.
Popeyes is legit good
Never had Canes
Chic-Fil-A is good
Zaxby's is like eating frozen chicken fried filets and is way over priced
Publix fried chicken is okay
Lowes Foods fried chicken is good they have southern pot salad and baked beans
Smithfields fried chicken is very good with the best potato salad

I never had Canes, it sounds like how I feel about Zaxby's. May as well buy Tyson fried frozen chicken strips.

Honestly, Canes is pretty trash now. Smaller pieces, more expensive, and unless you’re eating at the restaurant or in your car, you’re going to be eating super soggy tenders.

I recall my wife’s relatives came over as immigrants last year. I bought some canes for them (it was late). They ate it without saying anything. A month later, I took them to popeyes. While eating, they gave me a scolding for taking them to canes. They raved Popeyes and said it’s the chicken to eat.
Hey canes, it’s speaks volume when immigrants from a lessor country don’t like your chicken.
