It's nice to know people are helping. I don't get all up in arms about it since most of these people are making that trip of their own free will. And I'm certainly not a fan of illegal immigration. But it's sad to know there are people withering away in the desert brush like that. I have family that makes gets together south Texas hunts yearly and the ranch hands always talk about seeing people who make it on their property but never get out.

I really had no idea that it was very dangerous to sneak into this country...the press portrays it like you just walk in when ready.

I had one sitting on the front porch when I woke up one morning. I walked out side and he looked at my 4-wheeler and said vroom vroom Huuston?

I haven't had interaction with them but I'm usually only down there during deer season and they just run when we see them, FIL has had them surrender to him in the summer time when it's hotter than hell down there and they'll gladly go with BP after seeing they are in for a bad way. Coyotes will lead them so far then take their money and give them a map to follow which may or may not help them, I couldn't imagine trying that walk in 100+ degree temps, through cactus and mesquite thorns, and the rattlesnakes.

Some of these ranches are massive! People who have never been down here just don't understand what it is really like...

I've been hunting on the Kenedy ranch twice, and on the second day coming back there were cops waiting at the gate...said they found a body near the RR tracks. It had been 42-44 degrees and raining all day. I can't imagine how miserable it must have been to be outside in hiding...pretty sad to think about how he died.

The place behind us on the south fence is 13,000 acres, that's about 20 square miles.
