The fact is people are largely responsible for anything adverse that has happened in their life
There is racism but people over come it.
Your also not a victim of a Bud Light Ad or

The obvious middleground here is that the country as a whole is probably more racist than people on the right want to admit, but less racist than people on the left want to admit.
Also assuming OP is white, using your normal day to day activies to assess racism levels anywhere is a bit laughable.

As with everything these days there's a vocal minority (usually social media dorks) who push their agenda. The majority of people don't give a shiat and want to get along and do the right thing. That's why media is losing viewers, subscribers and respect.

Procter & Gamble recently had a commercial that showed a black guy and his kid swimming in a public pool. Then they showed a group of white people show up with a disgusted look because this black guy was teaching his kid to swim in the same pool that they wanted to swim in.
