Yep. I laugh at others who claim they're hurt RIGHT after being rear ended. Unless you break bones or get lacerations of some kind, you're not going to hurt immediately afterwards. A day or two after, though, and you can feel like you got run over by a truck.

The only thing that surprised me about this situation is that the girl who was hit was actually just stopping at a red light instead of stopping to let someone out of a parking lot and onto the road.

I watched the interaction while waiting on my order-- it was clear that "striker" had no insurance, so the "strikee" called BRPD.
Not sure what the "strikee" lacked (maybe driver's license or up-to-date registration, but cop handed citations to both of them. All for a minor scratch on an old, faded POS Nissan that had to be worth less than what that ticket's going to cost.
Of course the strikee will be hoping for a payout - but hard to get when there's no insurance.

shes laughing because now she doesnt have to finish paying the next 12 years of notes on that crappy car and in addition to getting a fully paid for brand new "nice" car of her dreams, she gonna get $50k of more cash on top of that

While in undergrad, I had a chick merge onto the Interstate right in front of me at about 30 mph. I smoked that bitch and spun her arse into the median.
She was a pregnant student at an hbcu. I begged her to go to the hospital to at least get the baby checked out. She emphatically said no.
As I'm getting ready to leave with the tow truck driver, the deputy came up and gave me his spill about what to do next. That's when I realized that he was writing the report like it was my fault. As I argued with his dumbass about my damage being in the front right while hers was in the rear left, the ambulance pulls up. I guess she needed medical attention after she found out that he was saying it was my fault.
After a fight with my insurance company about not settling, even at 50/50, and an accident reconstructionist being brought in, it was determined that I was driving ~70, she was driving ~20, and I hit her while her left tires were ~3 feet to the left of the line dividing the right lane and the median.
I hope that hood rat bitch enjoyed paying (likely a future worthless judgment) the medical bills that she incurred while we were fighting with her boo boo arse insurance company.
