I really don't know how people go extended periods of time without exercising. If I go more than 2 days, I feel disgusting.

I think most people who exercise regularly would agree with this sentiment. Some people, like the op just have never experienced the mental benefits of regular exercise.

Present and accounted for - 6'5" at 207 pounds.

Only exercise of consequence is yard work.

Spouse is Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer, go figure

How hard is it to take a walk, lol? Buy a $200 walking pad and watch TV.

This is your problem. Starving yourself only work for so long before it doesn’t. Slowly increase your calories over the weeks until your around 2200 calories and just focus on building strength. The weight loss will come. Look up “reverse dieting” and “metabolic adaptation” if you want to educate yourself.

At birth you are given a total number of heart beats. Exercise makes the heat beat faster, thus increasing the number count.

Fewer beats when you relax on your recliner. Keep that in mind.
