One thing I keep seeing here (we're 30 miles south of Brevard, as the car drives):
They are out of storage space for donations of goods--not enough volunteers to disburse the stuff.
I've seen that a lot too.
They don't need anymore goods. They need money, skilled labor/contractors, and volunteers.
Most complaints I see are that the feds are doing frick all except for carrying around clipboards and getting their photo ops in while all the actual work is being done by private citizens, linemen, state DOT, etc.
And pushing conspiracy theories about armed militia kidnapping and assassinating FEMA employees lol.
This chick posts quite regularly with on the ground stories of people helping out.

If tweet fails to load, click here. There was a big benefit concert at BofA stadium in Charlotte Saturday with a dozen country artists and 100% of the proceeds going to help the people of WNC. Tepper donated the facilities and paid out of pocket for all operating expenses and the artists donated their time I believe.
Good things are happening. The stories of death appear to have been over promised and the stories of destruction appear to have been under promised. It is a lesson most here already know, your neighbor is much more important than yoir government in times of crisis.

I've had to refuse clothing donations. People driving hours full of trailers packed with used donated clothes. There's nowhere to put the stuff.

You have been a retard about this since day 1.
I guess you have a daughter at ASU or UNCA- who told you everything is peaches and cream and you assume that one anecdote represents the entire area.
Seriously you look like a fricking moron.

can there not be 2 major headlines in the news on a daily basis? bottom line: our priorities as a nation are fricked.
Dude quit crying, everything is taking a back seat to the election and mid terms. It’s how it always is.

this sounds a lot like "one sport only guy". Don't talk baseball when it's football season.
The WS is also going on. It’s a bigger story then Helene.

The West Virginia boys just finished moving a mountain on Hwy 64 in three days to open the road from Bat Cave to Chimney Rock. If they have eligibility left, we sure could use them on our DL at Mississippi State.
