A friend of mine drinks at least 12 beers a day. Yet he gets up and goes to work every day and functions fine. He makes all family functions and kids games in various sports. Never misses a beat on anything, yet still drinks 12+ beers daily. Is that a problem?
I used to do this all the time.... Never a problem. It just got old after about 20 years... Don't drink a drop now and don't miss it.........

Your friend is a functioning alcoholic.

PJ you're full of shite. You're a fricking junkie and you know it.
To the OP, if you're not the mother of his children or the person that gave birth to him, mind your own business. Worry about yourself and your family. He's not your responsibility.
