I hate people who don't know how to drive. Morning commute rant.

Why are people so ignorant of basic rules of the road and common sense that goes along with them?
Every morning after dropping my kid off at daycare, I use a cloverleaf interchange on my way to work. At least 2 out of 5 days a week, I come across people who don't know how to use them properly. Here is today's incident...
I was behind a car on the loop and we were making our way toward the lane change. There is a truck coming in the right lane and nothing in the left lane. Problem 1, the truck makes no attempt to move over so traffic can merge, and no, he wasn't using the interchange. I have room so I move over behind the truck but the car is being hesitant (problem 2) to merge. I am now behind the truck and the car is slow rolling. Picture time!
If the truck had just kept speed, the car would have had plenty of room to get behind the truck and in front of me as I'm coming up to speed. Instead, the truck splits lanes behind the car and slams on the brakes to give her (I'm assuming it was a woman driver) space to get over (problem 3). This causes me and I'm assuming the cars behind me to slam on the brakes too.
The truck may have "been trying to be nice" but created a needlessly dangerous situation by not following basic common sense and road rules.
Yes I'm still mad, even after the 20 min it too me to draw the picture and write this post on my phone.

Cloverleaf interchanges are idiotic.

Work night shift. Less cars

Trucks need their own highways.

The main issue is that people don't drive with a purpose. It doesn't mean you have to be a bat out of hell but act like you have somewhere to be.

Car probably tapped brakes to regulate speed, causing truck to react by mashing theirs too hard. Should have waited and jumped the truck.

Reminds me of the jerk offs I encountered when commuting to LSU in the morning when I lived in BR.

Sorry, it was a pickup truck. Lifted with massive tires... No truck nuts.

The car was fully in the interchange lane. The truck had no reason to slow down.

Those cloverleafs make idiots consistently panic on the merge.

Side note if people in Baton Rouge would pull the frick up and stop leaving 6 car lengths between cars at lights, the compound effect of this would basically be no traffic at rush hour times. 90% of cars on the road x 6 extra car lengths = less cars make lights, more back ups, general frickery

You just reminded me of this guy on my commute to LSU. I drove the entire length of Burbank most mornings in mid 90s.
At least once a week a Red Isuzu Rodeo, with pedal to the metal, would pass everyone heading to campus. Burbank was 2 lanes with one shoulder on the sw side of road.
I once saw him pass a driver who was passing another driver. He did this in the far left shoulder. Incredibly unsafe.
I always wondered if that guy made it past 23yrs old.
