You are gonna find that after a while of being around “normal folks” and regular working folks that at least 50% of white collar job guys are so worried about how other perceive them that you will realize that some of your own friends are comical with how much of a try hard they really are.

It’s almost like they have a fake persona around other white collar jobs

As an experienced dock hand, remember that most of us are drunk or at least buzzed on the job so you don't want to stick out. Don't be afraid to take a few hard pulls from your flask in the parking lot on your way in.

If you see these guys hanging around, you didn't see them.

Have a good sense of humor and they will only seriously frick with you for a few weeks. They’ll never completely stop

Have a good work ethic. Don’t go to fast because you’ll make the old hairs look bad. There’s a healthy mix

I did it out of high school until I went to college. It wasn’t bad, but I hate cold weather

Sweet!!! Spent 12 years in the coast guard. I get up at 4 am. It’s not bad. Good luck and remember if it doesn’t look right, feel right it’s probably not.

How does this happen? I would lose my fricking mind. You say you were white collar so what was your field? You honestly couldn't get hired? I would have been working at McDonald's after 1 month as opposed to being unemployed....
