It was absolutely terrifying. I couldn't go back to sleep. Imagine a ring wraith from LOTR, mixed with the girl from the ring.

Had the same thing happen twice. The second time I was ready and started praying. It went away pretty quickly and never returned.

I know. I'm just shocked that I had a similar experience with your demon child's brother.

First time it happened to me I wigged the frick out.

It's happened a few times since then. I don't particularly care for it although in my mind I realize what is happening. It's very unnerving to want to move and not be able to do so.

The last time i thought i had SP was last year staying at a haunted hotel in California. I didnt know it was considered haunted and now I'm convinced it was a ghost/apparition in our room. I was legit too scared to move. As it moved i felt hot and cold then saw it. It had the shape of a woman

Just curious. To all of you this happened to, are you Christian?

Did you try to talk? That's some trippy shite when you try to say something, realize you can't talk then start screaming to try to vocalize something but at the most a muffled murmur comes out

It has only happened to me once abt 10 years ago, and then never again. But I vividly remember what happened.

It’s happened to me a few times. Never thought of it as scary. Just like I’m experiencing some reaalllly good sleep, and my body is too asleep to react. Kind of a neat feeling imo

ETA: as another poster said, trying to speak/talk but nothing is happening is a really weird feeling too

I've had it happen a couple of times. Most vivid one was 15 or so years ago. I woke up and saw a shadowy figure in the doorway walking towards me. I couldn't move or talk. Felt like something was pushing on my chest.

why would that matter?

this is just a biological error where your mind wakes up and your body doesn't. we see things b/c our subconscious is still producing images for our dream

Sounds similar to what I experienced once. I slept in my brother in laws old bedroom at my in-laws house and had a horrible paralysis experience. I won't ever sleep in that room again because of it.

I felt and saw a shadowy figure sitting on my torso and then get up and walk away to the bedroom door. I tried screaming but couldn't get anything out. Couldn't move either. It felt like an eternity.

Turns out it was probably their damn cat, but my mind couldn't analyze that and freaked me the frick out. I never actually "woke" up. Just calmed myself down and went back to sleep.

I miss it.

As a teen I could sleep so good. Now with all the uppers that saturate my brain, it is increasingly hard.
