This is dumb. The first of anything you remember is what you've used all your life.

Exactly this. It's in your subconscious.
If you are shopping and decide you want ice-cream for dessert but they don't have the brand that you usually buy, without thinking "I saw a commercial for this other brand I'll buy it" you are most likely going to purchase the product that you recognize vs any other you have never heard of. Advertisement is brainwashing and it's extremely effective whether you realize it or not

Mostly the commercials I've seen as an adult have no or almost no tendency to make me want to buy what they're selling, and often they make me dislike the company / product.
But, uh, call me lowbrow and trashy, sometimes a Popeye's and especially an Arby's commercial makes me want to head out to their nearest drive-through.

Never. Not one time. I have actively not purchased products because the ads annoyed me with pop ups or repetitive commercials. Ads are wasted on me.

Sun Drop is a Keurig Dr Pepper brand. They advertise. Sun Drop sponsored Dale Earnhardt Sr and Jr, and an indycar driver. They have some deal with MTV. There is more to advertising than prime time TV commercials. Dr Pepper is obviously their top drink, so Sun Drop is marketed in other ways to reach other consumers. They know what they are doing. Some folks might think they are immune to it, but they aren't.

Have you? Waste of money imo.
They can measure pretty precisely how much money is made per dollar spent. They aren't spending billions and hoping for the best. It is very much a science. The mathematical kind, not some soft social science.

Anything Paul Harvey endorsed. Something about the way he described the products he pitched made me feel like I needed to rush out and buy one.
