He also breeds what is called a Beefalo. Cow and Buffalo mix and I must say it is some good meat.
I didn't realize anyone was still breeding these...they were very popular a few decades ago, but I haven't heard much about them since....

Baker high had a live one as a mascot! Buffy would walk around the track before football games . They had him tethered to his trailer pulled by a truck when he stopped

He has bred a few just for us (family) to have some meat. He isn't actively selling them or anything though he does deal with cattle.

At the Robert Wildlife center, one of the staff told me that the buffalo was the most bad-arse animal out there. Nothing out there could mess with it.

The place in Robert had a beefalo. Huge lazyass animal. It weighed only slightly less than their biggest giraffe, which was a gigantic animal too.

Heard of some guys shooting a couple in Texas and having to wear slicker suits to clean them. Took them all night.

They've got a pretty good herd of them living in the Venice, LA marsh

I had a roommate in college that grew up on a beefalo farm out in West Texas.
The little town he grew up actually had a Beefalo festival.
I once went and it was pretty wild.

They are massive animals. In Yellowstone, they come amazingly close to you. I watched some asian tourists try to pet one one time. Fortunate for them, they just walked away and didn't trample them to death.
There are two herds in Florida that I'm aware of. One at Paynes Prairie, just south of Gainesville and the other in Ocoee, which is near Orlando.

My family's dogs got out while on vacation at the great sand dunes in Colorado and chased the Bison to the point where it was almost a stampede...of the golf course. They are free range bison and they veered off just in time. They would have tore some shite up. Crazy arse mutts.

If you find yourself in Dallas, go to Y.O. Ranch Steakhouse and get the buffalo filet. Your welcome.
