I wonder if it's the same family from SWLA? Little girl here diagnosed with DIPG which has no survivors past 2 years. I can't even imagine.

That little girl is the granddaughter of one of my high school classmates. Very sad news.

So sorry to hear this. Is it Glioblastoma? My mom has gliosarcoma (rare variant of GBM). She was being treated here in Atlanta, then Duke, MD Anderson, and University of Florida. I hope the trial works. If it is GBM, please tell them there is a good support group on FB. Wish the best for them.

So horrible to lose a child. It's more horrible to see that child suffer. Make sure they get counseling. Prayers sent.

I wonder if the admins can see who down votes post like this? they probably cant, but if they could they need to ban that person for ever from this site. There is no excuse for the miserable SOB who would down vote a post about a 6 year old little girl and her struggle with cancer. I hope the down voters rot in hell...

As a father, DPIG is my worst nightmare.

There is no cure, the only treatment is radiation to extend quality of life by months.

Death rate is 100%, chance of living past a year is less than 1%.

It is a death sentence, and due to it being so rare (200-300 kids per year), there isn't much research money being put into finding a cure.

I've never understood why God allows such horrible things to happen to innocent people, esp children. With such shitty people out there, why not punish them with cancer instead of an innocent child.
