I believe the source of confusion here lies with the "extra crispy" term. It's basically saying burnt which turn things black. By saying he doesn't mind his extra crispy, black folks took OP to mean he enjoyed the company of black women. This surprised the two black gentleman at OP's obvious forwardnes, meanwhile the women who knew OP realized he had no idea he had just said something so brazen and proceeded to laugh hysterically at the thought he could ever land any woman, much less a Nubian princess with a mastery of the culinary arts.
