From reading Antiquetiger's post and seeing others on social media do it I started flipping stuff last year on eBay which led to me starting a completely separate business on Amazon which is growing very fast but that made me neglect eBay. Last week I decided to increase what I have on eBay so I hired someone to come in and manage eBay 3 days per week for me and this week I bought a storage unit to try out. First one ever.

I will post the highlights but there was a lot more stuff that I gave away, donated, and other smaller stuff I will list on eBay which should bring in another $1500-$2000

I paid $300 for the unit. Here is proof

Here are the photos but this as we were loading and unloading. We need to get this stuff cleaned up and ready to sell.

3 JBL JRX100. Should sell for $80 each in this condition

2 Yamaha SM15V Should sell for $200 each give or take in this condition

2 Behringer SR115DSP. Not sure what they are worth but they originally sold for $340 brand new.

FM-1202ER Floor monitor. Should sell for $80 in this condition

Europower PMP2000. Should sell for $250 in this condition

Peavy Headliner 115 Bass Cabinet. Should sell for $150 in this condition

Squire by Fender Bass. Should sell for $125 in this condition

Drumm bass drum. These are $900 new and this one is in great shape so I am not sure what to price it at.

Alesis Turbo Mesh Electronic Drum Set. Worth $200 probably

Tama Drum Kit. These are $800 new and this one is OK shape so I $250 maybe.

Commercial popcorn machine. Probably $150

DVD multi-burner $100

Polytone Mini S12B. I need to do some research on these. I see ranges as used from $200 to $800. I guess they are vintage and desirable.

And the big score Peavey RQ 4324C. They are selling for $850 to $1000 on eBay

Overall I should turn $300 into $5K give or take depending on if I sell it locally or have to pay eBay fees and shipping.

Would you have bought this unit? I will let you guys know if this is more trouble than it's worth but in fairness I won't be managing it. The person I hired will.

Did you know what was inside the unit or did you find out after the sale?

Looks like a boon. Personally, I’d hate to fool with all the resell and shipping, but if you’re still turning a nice profit hiring someone to do it for you, more power to you.

This also looks to be a bit beyond what the typical storage unit would contain.

There were 5 or 6 photos posted on the auction site so I could see some of it but not everything

What was buried underneath were 3 nice 150-quart ice chests, clothes, etc. I could see the drums and Peavy mixer but that was about it.

ETA: Here is a link to the original auction

With the bar codes on top, I’d guess that item was likely lifted from somewhere.

I hired the person to help with my Amazon too because it has grown a lot so the plan is I will get them to do eBay on their downtime. Keep them busy.

It is but I bought another unit for $40 that was mostly trash but I saw 3 pairs of $200 snake boots in the photos.

Not sure if I will do it again. I just wanted to try it out.

Pretty sure this unit is from a defunct church. They had DVDs burned of children's bible stories it looked like they were handing out. Not a very good lesson for a church to break the law and sell burned DVDs

Ok, nice. Now come back in a month and tell us what each of these sold for. That should be fun to be able to compare expectations to fact. This is very interesting. Thanks!

Just saying that the bar codes indicate to me that it was inventoried.

The fact that you think you can sell a dvd multi burner for $100 makes me lose all confidence in your other estimates

I based it off of eBay sold comps. They range from $80 to $150 depending on how many trays. Some were smaller so I just estimated it in the middle
