I believe the moon is an artificial satellite.

Not made by humans of course.
Yes, I am 1 pint and a beer in. Yes, I am watching ancient aliens. With all understanding that this is a one sided view, I freaking believe. No, I have not done any other research.
These are the "facts" that swayed me: 1) All the craters on the moon only go so deep. This means the deepest craters all have the same depth. 2) Twice, impacts have produced a ringing upon impact. 3) It doesn't rotate. All other moons that we know of have rotation.
No link. Watching ancient aliens. That's why the word facts is in quotations.

I apologize. I meant that I believe it is an artificial satellite.

This guy is obviously no astrologer.

It does not rotate. It orbits the earth. Those are not the same. This is why there is a dark side of the moon never faces the earth.

Did ancient humans find a way to launch this fricking thing, or are you saying something else makes the tide come in and out?

The moon most certainly is the reason for the tides.
Also, I'm not saying human beings constructed the moon.

This could be explained by what makes up the moon. It likely has a shallow crust and a metallic core like iron ore.
I'm not sure why it doesn't rotate. I always thought it did

Huh. No, it doesn't.

Ringing? What impacts?

When I come home cold and tired, it's good to warm my bones beside the fire. Far away across the field, the tolling of the iron bell calls the faithful to their knees to hear the softly spoken magic spells.

Multiple both of those by 4 as well as 2 bowls.

I only need 1: life is dependent on the Moon. Remove the Moon and see what happens. Just the tide for the past 3 billion years is enough to discount it.

Just stop. There is the far side of the moon, while the other thing is just Pink Floyd’s masterpiece. The moon does rotate, but the far side exists because it’s tidally locked.
