Nah bro. Killing people isn't fighting because you want to go further than that. It's an internal thing. Same with self defense. It wasn't his intention to bash the guys head in with a rock. Doesn't count.

OK, so in the Tyrion example I provided (which no one has refuted thus far) Tyrion tells Catelyn that Littlefinger lied to her. Catelyn then asks why would Littlefinger lie to her. Tyrion sarcastically asks in reply "Why does bear shite in the woods?" He then says because it's in his nature. The comparable action is that Littlefinger is as big of a liar as a bear is a woods shitter. They are comparable, and that's why I'm saying it is a metaphor on top of it being rhetoric.
Please tell me where I'm wrong here.

He's asking a rhetorical question based on the fact that bears live in woods, and consequently, shite in woods. He's saying that he's a liar, and therefore he lies. There's no metaphor.

It's pretty simple. He didn't employ "does a bear shite in the woods" as a rhetorical question. He asked why a bear shits in the woods. Not the same thing.
