Hacking a utility would do the same if we were all renewables. There is a very simple explanation, and it’s the obvious one: it was hacked for ransom money. The more stupid a person is the less likely he is to accept the simple explanation and the more likely to believe in dark conspiracies. But ask yourself, who the hell would risk prison to move us incrementally toward renewables?
