Huge chunk of I-10 West closed right after the New Orleans airport (actually about 20 miles past). No signs of warning. Just everyone trying to exit, and one single cop car in the road with no lights flashing.

Car in front of me was first to see him. Fishtailed significantly before stopping. I fish tailed a little bit. Car behind me skidded and crashed into guard wall and slid to a few feet of hitting me.

Then I-110 north closed at government. Complete shutdown all the way to BTR airport.

If you have shite to do or somehow flying, or trying to get to Baton Rouge airport from New Orleans for god knows what (like me) leave extra early.

Many bridges still icy. Many cars still skidding off the road.

Local officials are reminding residents the snow and ice can lead to dangerous road conditions. If you don’t have to drive stay home. If you are out driving please make sure you leave several car lengths of space between you and the car ahead of you. We recommend that residents stay off the roadways unless absolutely necessary.

We live in Prairieville and have a Christmas party in New Orleans at 7. We're trying to figure out if we should go.

I just drove from BR to Lafayette.. no traffic, no ice. Left at 8:30 made it by 9:30.

Now I-10 E there is a wreck before whiskey bay bridge. Traffic is backed up a bunch. I will probably have to take 190 on my drive back shortly.

Had flight to Detroit out of New Orleans yesterday.

Cancelled because MSY doesn’t have de-icing solution

BTR does

Got a new flight this morning out of BTR (nothing else fit my timeframe.... need to be in DTW by 2pm... MSY could only get me there at 5pm)
