Tale as old as time...

Been at a standstill on I-10 since 2:30. Haven’t moved an inch, what a cluster frick.

Anyone know what’s going on? Twitter says that 18 wheeler accident but must be pretty bad for it to take this long

I left work downtown around 5pm, got on the Interstates all the way to Millerville and barely had to slow down. I saw only two semis going eastward for the entire trek. Going westward I saw maybe a half-dozen or so.

I wondered what was going on (aside from people still being out for the holidays) for the Traffic Gods to shine down their favor on Baton Rouge this evening.

After moving back to “yankeeland”, I’ve realized that amidst all the snow, ice, slush, etc... that in the year I’ve been back, not one single 18-wheeler wreck.

I’d say it’s the caliber of drivers, but we all know that drivers are from everywhere across the US.

Someone explain how that’s possible, K? Thx.

Why is it assumed that the truck drivers are the ones at fault and never the genius Louisiana drivers weaving in and out of traffic?

IMO the people driving like dipshits on basin bridge disproportionately have Texas plates

Man that stretch from Henderson to the ABB is as bad as Breaux Bridge to 90 Westbound. Concrete walls on either side and very little room for error.
Passenger vehicles are bad enough, but the “Big Rigs” roll 65+ wobbling in their (and your) lane. fricking dudes need to slow down and STAY IN THE RIGHT LANE!!!

Big rig drivers are professionals and should be the better drivers. Nevertheless, regardless of who’s at fault, if an 18 wheeler is involved, it’s going to take a long time to get everything moved out and cleaned up. Plus, yahoo drivers have less room for error when 18 wheelers are around.

Drivers have to go straight forward through that stretch. Not so easy.

I travel to New Iberia weekly to visit grand kids and the Texas plate drivers probably run around 70 to 80 mph. Been given the finger several times while in the right lane for doing 60 to 65.
