I'm sure their boilers and generators will be natural gas. It's cheap and in abundance locally.
And that is part of the competitive advantage Louisiana and the US has in heavy industry and not so heavy industries like data centers.
Every time some prog ahole starts whining about CO 2 output don't forget their is a real and direct cost to everyone if fossil fuel cost rises.

LA is doing a great job attracting industrial development
As it should. The mississippi river should be one long continuous industrial mega center from new orleans to natchez.

I'd like to see some more white collar jobs, but we need these industrial projects too.
So you don't think there are associated white collar jobs that are attached to a project like this?
Don't care what the color of the collar is perceived to be. LA and the US needs to push hard for every decent paying industrial job that can be developed.

I was told there is a fly ash shortage when I needed some for a project. I'm sure it can be sold.
You have to build, maintain, and sample impoundments constantly. I’m sure the companies buying fly ash require a certain purity, etc. It’s too much of a hassle to deal with especially compared to natural gas where there’s little to no byproduct to deal with. Probably less air scrubbing needed too.
