Hypothetical - you accidentally hit a protester in the road

You're white, and it was truly an accident. Do you:
1. Immediately stop and pull over, calling 911
2. Fearful of a retaliation by the other protesters who assume you did it intentionally, do you keep going?
What does the law state in this situation? Typically you are required to stop at the scene of the accident but in this case I would keep going, while on the phone with 911 explaining the situation. Maybe the police could meet you at a safer space?
What would the OT do?

I'd just take it to the house and wait for the cops to come by. I'd explain to them that I'm a mouth breather and didn't see the protesters because I don't look forward
