Has there ever been two separate hurricanes that have combined together to form one? And if so did it strengthen?

No, what happens is when they collide they cancel each other out. We're all hoping for another Cat 5 to form and collide with Irma.

Yes. In 1969 in the Pacific off Samoa, Typhoon Punnane got run up on from behind by Typhoon Richard.

I don't know why they don't make some propane bombs and set them off in it to slow it down or is that just effective on sharknados?

If I remember correctly 3 massive hurricanes combined to wrap around the entire globe. This was in 2012. It basically ushered in a new ice age.

Even plus even, friendly like Stephen.

Odd plus odd, angry stepdad Todd.

Any other together, couldn't be better.

According to this old saying, odd plus odd (i.e. 3 meeting a 5, 1 into 3, etcetera) is all you have to worry about. I think all of the others cancel out.

Hope this helps!

I don't know why, but I thought of James Franco in Pineapple Express explaining how the two strains of marijuana came together to form pineapple express when reading your question
