The hurricane that hit Acapulco Mexico intensified quickly before hitting land. What the heck is going on?

Models have been undervaluing how much a properly vented storm can deepen

We need to cease all offshore drilling immediately. We know the Chinese and Saudi Arabians would follow our lead too.

Wake up to what? That weather phenomenon have always happened over the course of time and a rapid intensification of a Hurricane happens frequently and has nothing to do with the hoax known as climate change?

Yeah downvoter, I said it…climate change is a hoax. You can believe that shite if you want but the problem is you try to force that nonsense on the rest of us.

Hot oceans, hot storms. There’s a reason you can’t buy insurance on the coast anymore.

Not just that. This time they whiffed on the track, too. The lower-end scenarios (which was pretty much all of them) had it doing a partial loop, staying in deeper, much cooler water. The actual track took it right through the warmest waters in the area.

The OP's question should be, why the huge miss in every aspect of the storm, and why were most all forecasters caught with their pants down relying, seemingly, solely on models?
