A little NNE on the last two fixes. Turn is on. NHC practically nailed it.

It’s Plaquemines Parish.

It automatically doesn’t count.

Not sure what's funny. You got a side gig with zero start up costs and unlimited schedule flexibility that offers more?

Fair enough, but I know you go back and forth between here and stormcast forums, and they were just adamant the NHC was wrong on this one with the N to NNE turn. Geauxmedic is an admin there and he was sure the NHC jumped the gun on the turn happening too early.

It's one thing to question a particular model solution, but the NHC is pretty fricking good at their job. I'm going to defer to them over forum mets every time.

Precisely. Very impressive season for them IMO.

Dude, skysummit and ndg are excellent over there. Zach Fradella is a pro that posts there too and medic has picked up a whole lot over the years. It's worth checking out stormcastforums IMHO.

Mandeville wasn't too bad about it. We stayed in after dark pretty much every night though.

Sheriffs were very serious about curfews in the dirty dell. I had them pull me over twice leaving my mom's house

So regardless of what source you believe you don’t pop over there and take a peak?

I don’t think a lot of these guys wishcast but get wrapped up in data outside of what is reported by the NHC. And look, we had a storm last month the NHC said was hitting Miami and ended up on the other side and these guys called it. I see nothing wrong with looking at data from many sources and determining what you feel is valid.

Impressive undersells the incredible job they did on numerous difficult forecasts. Nailing the intensity on Nate is phenomenal. That was the hardest forecast all season and hit it. Got the Harvey slowdown and rainfall almost dead on the money two days plus out. Had a forecast with Irma depending on subtle factors and basically smashed it out of the park. Then Nate.

I can only dream of being as good as those bastards.

It's nice how the west side just dried up like an eighty year old woman's cooter. Just going to be a little breezy with a guest in the 30's on occasion for a few hours. I'm thankful it has turned out to be pretty much a non-event. Now if the power holds...a hard fart knocks my power out.

Dodged a bullet. Sucks for Mississippi and Alabama though.

I agree. Dude is a joke and a clown.

I hope to God he’s not an admin. I put more faith in what PeeJ has to say than what that gomedic guy says.
